Presenting the 2019 season of the New Buffalo Farmers Market. Every Thursday a variety of vendors participate in a street fair atmosphere of food, art/crafts, clothing, produce, business services, products, non-profits, and live music or performance. The market can accommodate over 60 booths and food trucks, all set up in outdoor space of downtown New Buffalo.
Access our downloadable application/market rules link below. If you have any questions, contact Cathi the Market Maven at email@example.com or 312-965-9114.
We offer the following benefits to area farmers and vendors:
Affordable Flat Season Fee:
For full 17 week season participation, vendors living outside of New Buffalo pay $425 ($25 per week); New Buffalo businesses and residents pay $255 ($15 per week). Excluding mobile and food trucks; see application for fees.
Vendors have the opportunity to create their own schedule. Pick the dates you want to schedule or pay for the entire season at a discounted rate.
Non Profits and Community Residents:
We encourage and support community involvement in our market. Non profits and other community vendors, the cost is free (proof of status). Children participating in the market as a vendor or other activity, space is also free.
We particularly welcome:
– Michigan and Indiana farmers and growers
– Minority farmers from any location
– Farmers/producers using sustainable farming methods or are Certified Natural or Organic
– Prepared food/value added producers serving healthy food products
– Products created from local agriculture
The market attracts 500+ customers per week, depending on tourist flow. Outside of Harbor Country, our visitors can come from as far as Chicago, Northwest Indiana, and Southwest Michigan. The customer base for the market is widely diverse: a mix long-time residents, second home owners and newcomers. Overall, the population of market visitors is moderate to high income who are seeking unique finds and fresh produce.
